What You Will Learn?

1. Introduction to Hadith Sciences: The course begins with an overview of the Hadith sciences. Students learn about the development of Hadith scholarship, the classification of Hadith, and the different categories of Hadith narrators (Isnad) and texts (Matn).

2. Hadith Collection and Compilation: Students study the history of Hadith compilation and the efforts of early Hadith scholars in preserving the sayings and actions of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

3. Authenticity and Weakness of Hadith: The course covers the methodology of Hadith criticism, including the principles used to verify the authenticity of Hadith (Sahih) and identify weak Hadith (Da’if).

5. Explanation and Commentary: The course includes the explanation and commentary (Sharh) of selected Hadiths to gain a deeper understanding of their meanings and implications.

6. Hadith Narrators and Biographies: Students may study the biographies of prominent Hadith narrators (Rijal) to understand their credibility and reliability.

7. Hadith and Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh): The course explores the relationship between Hadith and Islamic Jurisprudence, as Hadith plays a crucial role in deriving legal rulings (Fiqh) in Islamic law.
